15 dead in minibus, train collision

Durban - Fifteen people have died when a taxi crashed off a bridge and landed on a railway track, before being hit by a train near Shaka's Head in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday, paramedics said.

IPSS medical rescue spokesperson Paul Herbst said the taxi was carrying 20 people when it crashed on to the railway track below.
The train then smashed into the vehicle.
"We found 15 dead. One person is critical and four have moderate injuries," he told News24.
He said the remains of some people were still stuck in the wreckage.
"Body parts are also strewn across the scene."
He said no one was injured in the train.
KZN EMS and Netcare 911 put the number of deceased at 14.
